Bermuda-based Dockwise Shipping has received eight new near-term contracts worth $27m for transportation of a jack-up drilling rig and port and marine infrastructure.

The company will ferry a jack-up barge to Australia, one jack up drilling rig to Egypt, cargoes with dredging equipment and various port and marine infrastructure to the US.

Dockwise said it will also transport river tankers to Panama and three ferries to Abu Dhabi.

All the contracts will be carried out throughout the year.
