Transportation services provider Crowley Maritime’s new triple-screw diesel powered tug Sesok has joined its Alaskan fleet in the US.

The vessel, designed by Crowley and Diversified Marine, is equipped to safely transport freight and petroleum barges in rivers across Alaska, Crowley said.

The company’s shallow draft tugs, which can run at a 3.6ft draft, are suited for coastal areas and Alaska’s rivers where operations can be difficult because of a lack of docking infrastructure and constricted drafts.
