Chinese charterer Seaspan Corporation has received delivery of the MOL Eminence containership from Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The 5,100TEU ship, which is the company’s fifth new-build this year, expands the company’s fleet to 40.

The MOL Eminence is chartered to Mitsui OSK Lines under a 12-year, fixed-rate time charter which requires MOL to pay all fuel, cargo-operating and related costs.

Seaspan expects its contracted revenue to grow nearly 218% to reach $7bn and annual revenue to rise about 145% to approximately $700m.
