Seaspan Corporation has taken delivery of the CSCL Manzanillo from Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, China.

The 2,500teu vessel is Seaspan’s sixth new build this year and expands the company’s fleet to 41 vessels.

Manzanillo has been chartered to China Shipping Container Lines (Asia), under a 12-year, fixed-rate time charter that requires CSCL Asia to pay all fuel, cargo-operating and related costs.

With the delivery of the new build, the company’s contracted revenue is expected to reach almost $7bn and annual revenue is projected to hit $700m.

Seaspan’s contracted fleet of 68 vessels consists of 41 container ships in operation and 27 container ships to be delivered over the next three years.
