Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has posted a revenue of $948.9m for Q3 2009, showing a fall of 42.3% compared with the same period in 2008.
According to a statement, the Japanese shipping line’s total volumes declined by 16.7% compared with the previous year.
The company estimated its overall average revenue per teu, which decreased by 30.7% compared with the third quarter of last year.
For the first nine months of 2009, total volumes decreased by 17.1% compared with the same period last year and total revenues recorded a 39% decrease.
OOCL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orient Overseas International.
