Turkish firm Izmir Demir Celik Sanayi AS has signed an agreement with D Duckling Corporation to acquire a dry cargo ship.

The deal to buy the M/V D Duckling is worth $28.2m.

The vessel is expected to be delivered by December 2009.

Izmir, a subsidiary of Sahin Koc Celik Sanayi, is one of the leading steel producers and exporters of Turkey.
