Evergreen to Downsize Fleet

Evergreen Line plans to reduce its fleet by laying-up 17 of its non-deployed ships by the end of the year. The shipping line has returned some vessels to charter owners on the expiration of their charter leases. Evergreen has also sold several aging ships for demolition.

Evergreen Line plans to reduce its fleet by laying-up 17 of its non-deployed ships by the end of the year.

The shipping line has returned some vessels to charter owners on the expiration of their charter leases.

Evergreen has also sold several aging ships for demolition.

Evergreen said it plans to reduce its service network by withdrawing some ships from 2,800TEUs to 6,000TEUs.
