Dutch-based Huisman has supplied a drill tower for the first Shell/Frontier Bully drill ship to be installed at the Keppel Shipyard, Singapore.

The drill tower, upended and assembled in the Huisman quay in Schiedam, has also been equipped with topdrive and service loops.

It will be installed on board the vessel with a single lift, Huisman said.

According to the company, subsequent commissioning of the complete system is expected to take nearly three months.

Huisman said it expects another delivery of similar equipment for Bully 2 in five months.

Apart from the drilling tower, Huisman also delivered equipments for handling of drill pipe, casings, marine risers, subsea and surface BOPs and X-mas trees, the riser tensioning system and both deck cranes.
