Mermaid Maritime has agreed a deal with KD Marine to provide subsea services from its advanced dive support vessel (DSV) in the European market.
The Danish marine company said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mermaid Offshore Services will join KD Marine for the fully integrated saturation, air diving, daughter craft and remotely operated vehicle (ROV).
The DSV, Mermaid Endurer, is a 95m vessel that features a 300m dive system, integrated air dive and ROV systems, and a 100t crane.
KD Marine is planning to install its purpose-built daughter craft and launching system from the vessel to enable simultaneous air diving and/or inspection ROV support from the principal support vessel.
The vessel is being built in the BMV shipyard in Bergen, Norway, with delivery scheduled for the first half of 2010, the company said.
