Indonesian state oil and gas firm Pertamina said it is planning to invest $333m to buy 12 tankers this year.
The company plans to order the tankers for delivery between 2012 and 2013.
Pertamina has tendered for the construction of two 3,500 cbm LPG carriers and a pair of 23,000 cbm vessels for $128m.
The company said it is awaiting approval from shareholders to acquire three 3,500 dwt tankers, one 6,000 dwt tanker, two 17,500 dwt tankers and LPG carriers of 3,500 cbm and 45,000 cbm.
