Orient Overseas International said Q4 revenues have fallen at its container line to $1.07bn, bringing total revenue for the year to $3.84bn.
Orient Overseas Container Line’s (OOCL) saw revenues fall by 22.7% and volume decrease by 4.1% compared to the same time a year ago.
The company’s average revenue per teu decreased by 19.4% compared to Q4 2008 and average revenue per teu decreased by 24.7% for the full year 2009.
OOCL’s load factor fell by 3.8% for 2009 despite a decrease of 9.6% in loadable capacity, the company said.
