French marine manufacturer Pegase said it has installed a new vessel traffic system (VTS) at Sète Port, France.

The company said the Falcon VTS system consists of an 8ft X-band radar, an AIS shore-based station, a VTS server and an integrated operator station equipped with VTS software.

The VTS system enables detection, identification and monitoring of vessels up to 20NM, the company said.

The Montpellier-based firm said the Sète Port Authority is also planning to install port management software, interconnected with VTS.
