Samho Shipbuilding has signed a contract with Turkish shipowner Densa Denizcilik Sanayi Ve Ticaret to build six 32,000dwt bulkers.

Samho Shipbuilding CEO PD Shon said the vessels will be delivered from the second quarter through to the third quarter of 2011.

The South Korean shipbuilder said the $165m order marks the first newbuild contract for the company.
