Norway’s Spar Shipping has secured five deals for its 58,000dwt Supramax bulker units at the Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding in China.

The company now has six orders at the yard, worth about $195m.

The delivery of the first ship is scheduled for April, according to asiasis.com.

The six ships are on a fixed, five-year charter to a Korean or Chinese company for around $17,000 a day.
