The Port Hedland Port Authority in Australia has awarded a contract to UTEC Survey Australia to provide bathymetric survey services to the authority’s channel and harbour capital dredging campaign.
Under the contract UTEC Survey will supply services including pre-dredging, progress reports, clearance surveys and final charting.
UTEC Survey said it is using a Reson 8125 with a PosMV to meet the requirements of IHO Special Order for Class-A Dynamic Under Keel Clearance surveys.
The operation, being carried out offshore Port Hedland in North West Australia, began in March 2010 and is expected to run through April, the firm said.
