STX Offshore & Shipbuilding has secured two newbuild Kamsarmax orders which will be built at its Jinhae Shipyard.
The Korean shipbuilder said the 229m-long vessels are scheduled to be delivered in 2012.
The shipbuilder also secured a contract from an Asian owner for the construction of two 24,000t special purpose vessels, according to asiasis.com
In 2010, the company secured 19 ship contracts worth $710m including STX Dalian’s order intakes, according to a company official.
