Crude Carriers Corporation has acquired two sistership Suezmax-class oil tankers built at Universal Shipbuilding Corporation, Japan, for $132.4m.
The Greek shipping firm expects the delivery of the 150,393dwt M/T Amoureux and 150,096dwt M/T Aias next month.
Following the delivery of a third vessel in June 2010, the company’s fleet will consist of two VLCCs and three Suezmaxes with an average age of nearly one year and total carrying capacity of 1,050,000dwt.
Crude Carriers has also agreed with Nordea Bank Finland to expand its $100m revolving credit facility to $150m, including $10m which can be used for working capital purposes.
