Hanjin Shipping has opened a €189m ($248.8m) terminal at Algeciras Port in Cádiz, Spain.

The South Korean shipping line expects the port to handle 1.5 million teu, according to thereader.es.

Hanjin Shipping said it will invest an additional €209m ($275.3m) on the terminal until 2015.

The Algeciras port handled 16.9 million tons of cargo in the first quarter of 2010, a 6.2% increase from the same period a year ago.
