In April HHI received 23 newbuild orders, including 11 ships worth $580m.
The company’s $2.6bn offshore plant orders increased its order intake in the shipbuilding and offshore plant divisions to $4.1bn.
HHI received $220m in order intakes for the same period in 2009.
