Doosan Engine has unveiled an eco-friendly engine that it claims can reduce vibrations by more than 50%.

The South Korean company said the Doosan-MAN B&W 7S80ME-C will be installed on a 318,000dwt very large crude carrier being constructed at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering for Kuwait Oil Tanker Company.

The 13m-long and 15m-high engines can produce 39,800hp, according to asiasis.com.

Doosan Engine said the engine can also reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by 16% against existing engine output.
