Samsung Secures $270m in Suezmax Orders

Samsung Heavy Industries has won an order for four suezmax vessels from former OMI Corp boss Craig H Stevenson Jr. Stevenson ordered the vessels from the South Korean shipbuilder at a cost of $68m each. Their expected delivery date is 2012-13, according to asiasis.com.

The order will be funded by Stevenson and private-equity venture Diamond S Shipping.
