Thoresen Shipping Singapore, a subsidiary of Thoresen Thai Agencies, has acquired a 57,015dwt Supramax vessel from Smart Shipmanagement for $34.5m.
The acquisition of the MV Teo, to be renamed the MV Thor Achiever, will increase the average size of Thoresen’s ships to 28,617dwt.

Thoresen said the acquisition is part of its ongoing fleet renewal programme to increase operating efficiencies.
