China’s Dalian Port Authority (DPA) has resumed operations at two of its oil berths after a pipeline explosion at the port.
The port’s 150,000dwt No 1 berth and 80,000dwt No 2 berth have restarted, with a 300,000dwt berth to follow shortly, according to bloomberg.com.
On 16 July, a pipeline explosion caused a spill that covered more than 183km2 off China’s north-eastern coast.
The DPA said the explosion occurred as workers injected oxidizing desulfuriser into the pipeline after a tanker had finished unloading oil.
