Aban Offshore has agreed with Petrobras to deploy its drill ship Aban Abraham offshore Brazil for five years.

The Indian offshore drilling contractor expects the vessel to earn $494m during the period.

The vessel will be deployed during the fourth quarter of 2010, Aban said.

In July, the company signed a INR500m ($10m) contract to deploy its jack-up rig Aban VII Offshore India for four months to drill three firm wells.
