International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) will invest $600m over the next two years to expand its port projects in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico.

The Philippine port operator, which currently handles 6.8 million boxes, expects to increase its capacity to handle an additional 1.5 million teu containers.

ICTSI is planning to invest in Mexico’s Port of Manzanillo, Columbia’s Port of Buenaventura and Argentina’s port of La Plata.

The company previously announced plans to spend $123m to upgrade facilities in Manila, Brazil, Ecuador and Madagascar this year.
