Sri Lanka will resume a ferry service between Thalaimannar in the north-west and Rameswaram in southern India.

The nations will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to resume the ferry service, which was interrupted because of terrorist activities.

In July 2009, the countries decided to resume the ferry service between Cochin and Colombo after 25 years.
