A South Korean fishing boat carrying 60 crew members has capsized off the coast of Russia in the Bering Sea, leaving one person dead and 52 missing.
The boat had been carrying 35 Indonesians, 13 Filipinos, 11 South Koreans and a Russian inspector, BBC News reported.

According to media reports, the rescue team has saved seven people so far but poor weather conditions are making searches difficult.
Russia Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky port Naval Coordination and Rescue Centre chief Artur Rets was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: "One person, a fisherman from South Korea, died from hypothermia.
"The destiny of 54 other crew members is as yet unknown."
The 1,753t vessel, Oryong 501, is operated by South Korean company Sajo Industries.

By GlobalDataThe New York Times cited Sajo Industries executive Lim Chae-ok as saying that the ship is believed to have sunk when a wave hit it, as the crew was hauling in its catch, flooding the boat’s storage chambers with seawater.
Law enforcement officials have stated that the boat did not send any distress signal prior to the incident, BBC reported.
According to The New York Times, the vessel departed a port in Busan, South Korea, in July and it was one of six South Korean trawlers allowed to catch a total of 40,000t of pollock this year, under a fisheries deal with Russia.
