Each of the PSVs will have a length of 88.9m and beam of 19m and will be equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system and comprehensive electrical package delivered by Ulstein Power & Control.

The vessels will have a dead weight of 4,700t each and a loading deck area in excess of 1,000m² while the vessels will be equipped with Azipull 100 propellers allowing them to reach speeds of 15.5 knots.

Design of the vessels will meet DNV specifications of the Clean and Clean Design standards.

Ulstein Design and Solutions managing director Sigurd Viseth said that in total since 2007, Sinopacific has now entered into contracts involving as many as 22 vessels incorporating the company’s designs.

"A dedicated project team has been on site and has supervised the entire process, which has ensured that construction work went smoothly," Viseth said.

In addition to the new contracts, ULSTEIN has sold 26 vessels of the PX105 design including the X-BOW hull line design, which are claimed to be fuel-efficient and capable of maintaining high speeds even in harsh weather conditions.

The company said that 62 vessels with the X-BOW design have been sold since its launch in 2005.
