Navis has signed a new licensing agreement with Chile's Terminal Puerto Arica (TPA) to upgrade the port's current operating system.
The deal will see Navis implement its N4 terminal operating software at TPA, which currently handles 220,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers, bulk and break bulk cargo per year and mainly supports the trade industries of Bolivia, Chile and Peru.

The implementation of Navis' system will allow TPA to improve its operations in various ways, including crane performance speed and a reduction of time per transaction at the gate, as well as management of the yard and better optimisation of resources management, among others.
TPA is also set to employ Navis’ expert decking and autostow optimisation modules to meet its primary objective of improving productivity and customer service.
