Wendella Sightseeing has awarded a contract to Burger Boat for the development of a steel passenger vessel.

Designed by Timothy Graul Marine Design, the 27m-long boat is said to be a valuable addition to the existing vessels in Wendella’s fleet.

With a capacity to accommodate up to 275 passengers, the boat will feature a climate-controlled main deck cabin and an upper deck with large space for guests.

The vessel will also be equipped with twin Scania DI13 080M tier III main engines and two Northern Lights generators.

The latest contract comes after the company completed an order given by Chicago’s First Lady Cruises to build a 30m-long, 299-passenger steel passenger boat. Burger Boat delivered the vessel, Chicago’s Classic Lady, in May.

Established in 1863, Burger Boat is engaged in building various vessels, including custom-motor and sailing yachts, fishing boats, tow boats, patrol craft, passenger vessels, ferries, research vessels and naval craft.
