PALANPUR

Germany-based shipowner Harren & Partner (H&P) is to deploy the DNV GL-developed business intelligence software systems, ShipManager Analyzer and ShipManager QHSE, on its entire fleet of 52 vessels.

Both systems will help H&P in ship management and in the extraction of data from operational systems.

Additionally, the systems will provide improved performance, efficiency and safety of H&P’s fleet of container feeder vessels, bulk and heavy lift carriers, tankers, multi-purpose carriers and dock ships, which range from 4,000dwt to 76,000dwt.

H&P Germany quality and safety director Captain Hausler said the software is designed by professionals for the shipping industry.

“Both our companies work with compliance to higher safety standards and they are committed to quality. Quality and safety standards are about to become an important economic advantage in today’s shipping markets,” Hausler said.

The company is set to run the initial trial implementation for the two systems in April and install the systems on its entire fleet by mid-year.

The successful implementation of DNV GL’s systems could be further expanded to add other modules from the ShipManager portfolio, such as procurement, finance, hull, projects, technical and crewing.

DNV GL director of maritime software Torsten Büssow said that with H&P, a very impressive company joins the fast-growing user community of DNV GL´s ShipManager platform.

“It will help us to maintain our leading market position within maritime software, at the same time as we are constantly developing new and improved solutions for the future,” Büssow said.
