The reliquefaction technology offers cost savings and is due for delivery in 2012.

The system has been developed to reduce installation, operation and maintenance costs for larger LPG carriers, especially ships that can carry more than 60,000m3 of gas.

HHI said that the system is also designed to transport two cargoes and has been specially modified for ULGCs.

The reliquefaction units handle the main cargo and provide the required redundancy, while a condenser unit is included to carry the second grade cargo.
