The EU Class B certificate ferry will also be operated on other routes, including to the Aeolian Islands.

Recently, Leiger, designed by LMG and one of four in series of ice strengthened ferries for Estonia’s Port of Tallinn, has been delivered from Sefine Shipyard in Turkey.

Leiger features an LMG 150-DE design, as well as a length of 114m and a width of 19.2m.

Capable of carrying 150 cars and 700 passengers, the vessel will operate between the mainland and large islands in the western region of Estonia.

With a Baltic Ice-1A ice class, Leiger can operate in icy conditions during the winter.
