Marlink has added new Ku-band capacity to its Sealink VSAT services in order to extend the service for vessels operating in Northeast Passage region connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
The extended capacity will enable operators travelling in the area to receive high-speed maritime broadband connectivity to support safe and efficient operations.

It will also allow the Sealink services to continue meeting the changing requirements of a diverse user base, especially within the fishing and offshore support sectors. The growing Arctic adventure cruising sector is also expected to benefit from the new service.
Additionally, Marlinks new offering will provide support to the offshore sector, which has already begun placing additional focus on safer operations within remote and environmentally sensitive locations, including the Northeast region.
Further digitalisation of offshore operations via the industry's integration of high-speed connectivity solutions is also expected to reduce the risk of accidents.

Marlink has also recently added a new satellite system to transmit and receive data from Singapore, which is currently one of the most congested areas in Southeast Asia.
The newly added satellite will allow Marlink to expand its existing coverage and offer data from multiple satellite beams to ship owner and operators.
