Fincantieri built the first vessel of the series, Viking Star, at its shipyard in Marghera, Italy and delivered the same in 2015.

In March of this year, the second ship of the same series entered sea service from Fincantieri’s shipyard in Ancona, while the third vessel is scheduled to enter into service by the beginning of next year.

So far, Fincantieri has built 75 cruise ships and are currently involved in designing or building 26 vessels at various yards owned by the company.

Last month, the company delivered the first of two ultra-luxury cruise ships, Seabourn Encore, to Carnival’s Seabourn Cruise Line brand.

Seabourn was built as part of Seabourn Cruise Line’s fleet modernisation plant, which started in 2009.
