Once completed, the LNG terminal will have a capacity of 30,000m³ and will serve the entire western coast of Finland from Hanko to Kokkola.

The company has already chosen the main contractor and suppliers for the project.

Skangass sales and marketing director Tommy Mattila said: "It is highly important that the Pori terminal is completed on schedule and that we can launch deliveries to our existing and new customers.

"Interest in LNG is found among industrial, shipping and heavy-duty land transport customers."

Construction of the terminal is expected to provide 250 full-time jobs, while around ten direct and 50 indirect jobs will be created after the completion of work.
