Maritime services company Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) has developed a new range of marine cleaning solutions to support safe and hygienic working practises at sea.
Integrating better cleaning agents and mobile equipment, the new Unitor EasyClean Galley and Accommodation range enables operators to maintain a clean and healthy onboard environment.

WSS Marine Chemicals product marketing manager Rune Nygaard said: "Within the shipping industry, infectious diseases are recognised as an occupational hazard and are largely down to the close working and living conditions onboard.
"Because of the unique conditions that occur at sea, every vessel can be viewed as a self-contained eco-system. If cleaning standards onboard that vessel do not meet appropriate levels, problems can occur."
Unitor EasyClean products are intended to reduce the negative impact on naturally occurring micro-organisms; however, they also support the breakdown of organic material, to keep wastewater systems running freely and functioning properly.
In addition, the WSS offers crew members all galley and accommodation products with easy-to-follow usage and dosage instructions, as well an e-learning programme.

The product has been developed at Wilhelmsen Chemicals, a production facility in Kjøpmannskjær near Tønsberg, Norway.
