Italian ship-building company Fincantieri has signed an agreement to built two new cruise ships for Carnival's Holland America Line and Princess Cruises brands.

The deal will see Fincantieri build a 99,500t vessel for Holland America Line and a 145,000t vessel for Princess Cruises at shipyards in Marghera and Monfalcone respectively.

Delivery of the new vessels is scheduled to take place in 2022.

International Container Terminal Services (ICTSI) subsidiary Operadura Portuaria Centroamericana has signed a deal with China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) to build a 350m-long and 15.5m-deep berth, as well as two trestles to be connected to the existing yard in a specialised container and cargo terminal in the port of Puerto Cortes, Honduras.

Two super post-Panamax quay cranes are also planned to be installed in the expanded berth as part of the contract.
