The collaboration aims to address the growing threat of GPS and GNSS signal disruptions in the commercial shipping industry using Iridium’s low-Earth orbit satellite network.

By GlobalDataUnder the agreement, NAL Research will contribute over two decades of expertise in Assured Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (APNT), tracking, and connectivity.
The solutions will be built on the Iridium PNT service, which offers a robust and fully authenticated L-band signal that is resistant to spoofing and jamming.
SGM Technology brings over 15 years of experience in delivering technology to the commercial maritime sector, while Tschudi Shipping Company offers a substantial global presence and over 140 years of experience in shipping and logistics.

The collaboration will provide maritime users with reliable navigation, particularly in GPS/GNSS-compromised environments.
Trials of the innovative solution are currently in progress.
