With the system in place, crew members enter information once, which is then automatically distributed to SMT Shipping’s internal teams, weather routing providers, charterers, and verifiers.

This process removes the need for crews to fill out multiple forms containing the same data.

SMT Shipping M/VCaline C master said: “The programme has streamlined data entry by allowing information to be recorded once and reflected across multiple reports. This has significantly reduced duplication and improved consistency of the data.”

Spinergie’s tools have been developed to simplify and standardise reporting procedures for maritime fleets.

The system incorporates guided manual entry, automatic population of data fields, and checks for quality at the point of input.

These measures are intended to reduce rework and cut down on verification exchanges across SMT Shipping’s fleet.

Feedback from those using the platform has highlighted benefits such as a user-friendly interface and minimal training requirements, according to the company.

According to SMT Shipping, the system’s features help ensure continued compliance with regulatory obligations.

Spinergie client success UK team lead Jack Madden said: “Our everyday mission is to solve the major pain points faced by owners and operators.

“One of their most persistent challenges is the significant time crews spend on reporting tasks, especially reporting the same data repeatedly.

“The feedback from SMT Shipping’s crews tells us we are on the right track. Their success and improved efficiency confirm the value of what we do. When you make life easier for the crew, you set the foundation for a more efficient and safer fleet.”
