US-based shipbuilder General Dynamics NASSCO has delivered a new ECO Class tanker, Constitution, to SEA-Vista.
Built to comply with the American Jones Act, the 610ft-long vessel has a 50,000 deadweight-tonne capacity and a 330,000 barrel cargo capacity.

Constitution is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) conversion-ready product tanker, which will be operated by Seabulk Tankers.
The ship will further help the US shipping industry in achieving cleaner and more fuel-efficient modes of transportation.
Constitution has been built under an eight-ship programme for two separate customers and is the sixth ECO Class tanker built by NASSCO to join the Jones Act trade.
General Dynamics NASSCO vice-president and general manager Kevin Graney said: “With this programme we contracted with two customers seeking similar capabilities.

Last month, Constitution completed tests and trials off the coast of San Diego, California, US. Construction on the ship commenced in June 2015.
In September, NASSCO delivered the fourth vessel, Bay State, constructed as part of five ECO Class product tankers, under contract with American Petroleum Tankers.
The Jones Act is a United States federal statute that requires ships carrying cargo between US ports to be built in US shipyards.
