“So, it was quite logical that we came to this new concept after having heard what Frøy Vest had to say.”

“For instance, the deck is not made of wood for reasons of hygiene, and larger cranes and winches have been placed on deck for enhanced productivity.”

The 27.27m-long Multi Cat 2712 is equipped with two Cat C32 TTA CERT engines with a total power of 1,790bkW at 1,800rpm offering the vessel a maximum speed of 10.5k.

With a maximum bollard pull of 34.8t, the Multi Cat is expected to support basic functions such as anchor handling, dredger service, supply, towing, hose handling, surveying and fish farm works.

Meanwhile, the 41.40m-long pontoon with a deadweight tonnage of 965t has a beam length of 13m and a depth of 3m.

The Stan Pontoon 4113 is designed for deck cargo and RoRo operations and can be deployed in deep-sea areas, coastal and inland waters.

With a deck space amounting to 533m² and deck thickness of roughly 12mm Stan Pontoon is suitable for extra heavy weights.

With a minimum of four vessels being used for fish-farming operations currently, the latest combination of one Multi Cat and a Stan Pontoon is expected to reduce operational costs for the client.

Damen’s present range of fishing vessels includes Mussel Dredger, Oyster Dredger, Sea Fisher and Razor Shell Dredger.
