Seacat Services managing director Ian Baylis said: "Since her launch in October last year, Seacat Intrepid has set a new standard for vessels servicing the offshore wind sector.

"Seacat Courageous will match that standard, further enhancing our offering in the waters of the North Sea, Baltic and the domestic UK market."

The main features of the vessel include a 26,000l fuel tank and a larger foredeck with a capacity to accommodate 20ft equipment containers.

Seacat Courageous will now undergo sea trials before being deployed in the North Sea.

"Seacat Intrepid has set a new standard for vessels servicing the offshore wind sector."

In October 2013, Seacat Services signed a £10m contract with the UK’s South Boats IoW to deliver one 24m and two 26m-long wind farm crew transfer vessels.

The first vessel, Seacat Ranger, was launched in June 2014 and is currently deployed at Westermost Rough Offshore Wind Farm on the east coast of the UK.

Seacat Services unveiled the first DNV GL-certified, 26m crew transfer vessel, Seacat Intrepid, in October last year. The vessel is currently working with an European wind farm developer and operator.

Recently, the vessel operator announced a £6m investment in two, new, 24m-long offshore energy support vessel (OESVs) as it prepares for the next phase of European offshore wind construction.
