The 80m PSV vessel offers 700m² main deck and can carry 10% more cargo compared to Damen’s former PSV, as well as offering improved engine performance with the same sized engine, the company said.

The first two vessels will be built at Damen shipyard in Galati, Romania, and are scheduled to be delivered by early 2013.

Damen is also planning to launch a new range of PSVs in the first quarter of 2012, which will range from 1,500dwt to 6,500dwt in size.
