APL’s terminal currently handles the company’s own vessels, as well as carriers operated by other organisations such as CMA CGM.

The 101-acre terminal is equipped to handle 1.5 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of cargo annually.

It comprises two cargo berths featuring a linear quay length of 640m and draft of 15.2m, and can handle ships with capacities of up to 14,000TEUs.

“Today, intra-Asia container volume accounts for one-sixth of all containers moved globally. We see further growth prospects in this trade, where APL is seeking to be a major player.”

The terminal features a container freight station, a 21,000TEU yard, three maintenance and repair workshops and two warehouses, in addition to two gas stations that provide onsite logistics support to APL shippers.
