In addition, a variety of new and upgraded features have also been added to the PrimeShip-HULL (HCSR) prescriptive calculation and direct strength assessment software packages.

The prescriptive calculation software’s new calculation report function has been designed as a stand-alone system to allow users to create calculation reports and edit cross section data or operate the calculation window simultaneously.

"The PrimeShip-HULL (HCSR) solution’s updated direct strength assessment software features a ‘parameter check and update’ function, which can detect model-dependent parameters and modify them automatically."

ClassNK has also streamlined the programme interface to make the function more user-friendly.

The updated prescriptive calculation software incorporates an improved data linkage function for body plan data gathered from 2D CAD software.

The improvement is anticipated to help create sectional data from the entire body plan all at once, thereby eliminating the need for repetitious data conversion.

Furthermore, the data linkage function is designed to enable users to import transverse member data from NAPA Steel models directly into the software’s initial design function.

The PrimeShip-HULL (HCSR) solution’s updated direct strength assessment software features a ‘parameter check and update’ function, which can detect model-dependent parameters and modify them automatically.

This function is capable of checking parameter-setting errors and will help avoid the need to repeat analysis work due to human error.

Additionally, the design support tool for yield assessment has been streamlined to offer improved ease-of-use.

ClassNK has also improved the buckling assessment tool to reduce the overall calculation times.

The new PrimeShip-HULL (HCSR) enhancements and functions are anticipated to reduce the man-hours and design lead-times required during operations.
