It will enable the tanker fleet to gain access to Marlink’s global network and business-critical VSAT solutions for data and voice communication to perform its operations and support crew welfare.

As part of the deal, Transpetrol will receive additional benefits from Marlink VSAT through an enhanced committed information rate (CIR) and maximum information rate (MIR), using new digital applications and offering more access for crew.

Installation of Marlink’s network and SkyFile Anti-Virus on-board each of its ships is also expected to allow Transpetrol to further safeguard its business and operations from cyber-attack.

The company will employ Marlink’s XChange platform, a streamlined and integrated system designed for crew communications management, smooth switching between satellites, VSAT or L-band carriers, and hosting Transpetrol’s value-added services.
