The companies developed an interface for NAPA, a 3D modelling and design software that meshes with Meyer Turku’s CAD.

Under a cooperation agreement, NAPA and PROSTEP worked to develop PLM software as well as CAE interfaces.

By combining their capabilities in these areas, the companies will be able to increase operational efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction.

PROSTEP Hamburg Shipbuilding account manager Matthias Grau said: “Through our cooperation with NAPA, we are strengthening our market position in this important industry as an IT systems integrator and closing another important gap between NAPA and downstream detail design CAD systems in the digital thread along the ship development process.”
