The purchase of SMART has been approved after GreenSteam carried out a strategic business review to boost its portfolio of services, strengthen its capabilities to collect data and grow service team.

Commenting on the acquisition, GreenSteam executive chairman Shaun Gray said: “GreenSteam pioneered the application of machine learning in marine vessel optimisation and was the first to market with a platform that can accurately analyse a ship’s performance and is quickly becoming the world’s leading brand for optimising vessel efficiency.

“We are very pleased to take on board BMT SMART and integrate their services with our own, this will further accelerate the growth phase that we are already experiencing across all marine sectors.
