The facility is expected to support Fluxys, G&V, Titan LNG and Rolande to widen the LNG fueling options at the port’s quay 526/528. Currently, the port offers truck-to-ship bunkering.

It will allow LNG-powered inland waterway ships to dock at quay 526/528 for bunkering from a fixed storage unit. The facility will also enable LNG-powered truck refuelling.

LNG MAKEEN Energy Group head Frej Olsen said: “We are proud to be part of delivering this solution with some of the leading LNG players in Europe.

“We think that this project is yet another testament to the rapid development of the LNG market. Easily accessible and affordable LNG is in high demand, and we want to be at the forefront with more solutions that accommodate this demand.”
